Een auto van 1-1-1987 wordt dus op 1-1-2017 alsnog wegenbelastingvrij.
En daarna, een auto van 1-1-1988 wordt op 1-1-2018 wegenbelastingvrij, etc tot zolang de regeling geldt....

Klopt. Beetje omslachtig. gewoon de 25 jaar laten staan, dan blijft het een stuk duidelijker. En dat scheelt waarschijnlijk een hand vol failliete handelaren.

Ik las het bericht net ook op nu.nl. Ik vind het toch wel een goede zaak. Een auto is nu na 25 jaar echt niet altijd meer oude, nostalgische prut. Ik denk dat de W201, W124, Peugeot 106, BMW8, BMW5 daar mooie voorbeelden van zijn.

Er moet a.s. donderdag nog over gestemt worden. Dus ik zou me maar geen zorgen maken.
De auto's die nu tussen de 25 en 30 jaar zitten, kunnen ze volgens mij niet zomaar weer in de belasting zetten. Ik heb een papier van de balastingdienst gekregen, toen de Benz de 25 jaar had bereikt, waarin staat de er vrijstelling van wegenbelasting wordt verleend. En zullen ze met een overgangsregeling moeten komen. Dus dan gaan we toch naar de rechter

Zo duurt het wel langer voor de W140 belastingvrij wordt.

Dat is de enige auto waarop ik mijn 560 nog wel wil inruilen.

Inderdaad, zo'n W140 is ook voor mij een droomauto. Dan natuurlijk wel gelijk de verlengde versie.

En een mooie 6 cilinder diesel in het vooronder. Ik word er 's nachts wel eens zwetend van wakker.

Dus eigenlijk moet je nu een gave W201 D 2.5 kopen uit 1987 ( voor weinig ), 5 jaar parkeren, en dan ben je straks in 2017 belastingvrij ( hoop je ).( na 5 andere regelingen )

Nee, dan maar sparen voor een W140 diesel, als deze tenminste net zo sterk zijn als de W201. Qua uiterlijk wel, iig, mijn hemel, wat een Kathedraal !
Maak me wel wat zorgen over de elektronica, een echt doorgeroeste heb ik eigenlijk nog niet gezien, in tegenstelling tot bv de W202 of W210.

PS : Mbt de politie : Ik onderschrijf wat MB190 schrijft : natuurlijk baal je bij een bekeuring, maar over de linie genomen zijn het geen echte klootzakken, ik denk dat wij als mensen tegenwoordig gewoon geen of nauwelijks gezag meer dulden, een toch wel kwalijke ontwikkeling... Ik ben net terug van een Zuid-Amerika reis, daar staan ze in no time klaar met een AK47 ( zelf gezien ) bij een doodgewone verkeerscontrole, wat ik in Purmerend niet zo snel zie gebeuren !

Tuurlijk is het 100% legaal
net als het rijden in een bestelautootje (grijs kenteken) door particulieren destijds, of het bouwen van een enorme toeter op je stationcar alleen en uitsluitend om geen wegenbelasting te betalen, of het parkeren van je kapitaal op een bankrekening op de kaaiman eilanden...
helemaal legaal, maar absoluut niét waar de regeling(en) voor bedoeld zijn.

Je kunt dus 100% legaal een regeling toch misbruiken.
Of laat ik het anders noemen "creatief gebruiken"
