Ik heb maar 1 brommer gehad was een Zundapp GTS50. Zat een superbreid kop op. En een 6.3 staat me bij met bing 25mm cab. Was leuk aan sleutelen. Over spuiten in andere kleur. Was al vanaf mijn 12 aan het aftellen dat ik een brommer kon aanschaffen. Mooie tijd was dat. En nu heb ik dat met de W201.

was vroeger helemaal gek op alles wat op brandstof liep,begon met brommertjes en toen ik 13 was mijn eerste crossmotor een CZ ik dacht 125 of 150cc geen originele maar zelf een crosser van gemaakt je weet wel spatbord afzagen enz toen Jawa twin 350cc en er volgde er nog vele en toen ik 16 was in 1967 een Zundapp en die ging werkelijk als de brandweer :mrgreen:

Vroeger natuurlijk ook heel veel brommers versleten, kreidler,tomos, puch en honda, motoren begonnen met 2 x een Yamaha XT 500 , Honda XR 500 en een Piagio scooter 80CC tijdens mijn jaren in Ghana en Malta.
Tot 2 jaar teug een Honda seven fifty gereden een super fiets. tegenwoordig een Yamaha XJ 900 cardan voor woonwerk ( 600 KM per week) echt een kilometer buffel.

Ja de XS650 erg leuke bikes, heb er twee gehad.
De eerste was een chopper met een lange voorvork en de tweede heb ik zelfs nog een foto van.
Makkelijke techniek en lekt vrijwel niet tov van de Bonnie. :lol:

Geweldige machine de XS650!
Ik zoek eigenlijk al een tijdje naar een oud gammel exemplaar als hobbyproject om tot bobber om te toveren maar zelfs die zijn "aan de prijs" tegenwoordig :blink:

De XS650 was idd goedkoop en makkelijk aan te sleutelen door zijn simpele techniek.
Zo reed ik eens ergens in Zuid-Frankrijk op het platteland toen er een uitlaat af donderde omdat er weer eens een bout was los getrild.
Alles wat ik bij me had was een draadkniptang.. Ik keek om me heen en zag prikkeldraad met daarachter wat herkauwende Franse koeien. Ik heb een stuk uit de omheining geknipt dat door de bevestigingsgaten heen gewurmd en met de tang vastgedraaid.
Zo heeft de uitlaat nog jaren gehangen tot die er ooit een keer af moest voor een reparatie B)

Honda CB50J. In totaal heb ik er drie gehad: een rode, bovenstaande groene en een blauwe. Die blauwe heb ik nu nog. Heb er al jaren niet meer op gereden maar hij verkeert nog altijd in showroom staat. Prachtige techniek (50cc viertakt met bovenliggende nokkenas). De blauwe is volledig origineel en loopt ongeveer 50. Bovenstaande groene had een 15mm carburateur van een Honda Dream50 en een onbegrensde uitlaat: ik meen mij te herinneren dat daar 65 kilometer per uur mee mogelijk was. Betrouwbaar (de groene hierboven had bijna 30.000 kilometer op de teller), zuinig en een prachtig geluid.

Honda MTX50. Voorzien van een 70CC cilinder, 20mm carburateur en een vierbak. Mooi ding om te zien en aardig snel in vergelijking met de viertaktjes: volgens mij haalde die de 80 wel. Wel een drinkebroer en nogal onderhoudsgevoelig.

Er waren nog wel wat andere modellen maar met de bovenstaande modellen heb ik het meeste plezier beleefd. En het was een goede leerschool voor het onderhoud dat ik tegenwoordig pleeg aan de auto.
