Ik durf bijna geen topic meer op te starten over dit onderwerp : er zijn er al zovele.

Ik heb vorig jaar de originele, kleine gekocht, deze bedekt de accubak, maar niet veel meer dan dat.
Nu wil ik echter een grotere, om de lak op de kap te sparen, voor het geluid schijnt het niet veel te schelen.

Er wordt gesproken over 2 onderdeelnrs voor een grotere ( diesel) uitvoering:
1. MA 201 682 0326 ( o.a. Bassje, waar ik veel vertrouwen in heb), én
2. MA 201 682 1326.

1 cijfer verschil, maar dat kan flink schelen !

Verder weet ik dat Hansmercedes een nog grotere mat heeft. Ook heel erg fraai.

Vreemde vraag : alle motorkappen zijn toch even groot ( ook na de Mopf ) ?
Dus een mat die past in een 1990'er past dan toch ook in mijn '84-er ?

M.a.w. : welk artikelnr heb ik nodig ?

Dit is een 86-er en zoals je ziet past deze mat uitstekend. Ik verwacht dat het bij jou dan ook geen problemen gaat opleveren als je deze koopt.

Verder geen idee wat het verschil is tussen deze 2 matten.

De mat van de 2.6 loopt nog verder door, tot het einde/begin van de motorkap. Deze mat is volgens mij wel een stukje duurder.

De mat die je hier ziet (A 201 682 03 26) kostte vorig jaar €30,95 ex. BTW en ex. korting.

Levert dit nu minder doordringend motorlawaai op in het interieur ?

en/of heeft het nog een andere functie?

In mijn beleving geet het inderdaad minder geluid door ,maar de voornaamste reden is isolatie van de temperatuur want zonder zo een mat kan het zijn dat de lak op de motorkap kan gaan barsten door de warmte van de motor grt hans

Lijkt me een beetje een vaag verhaal. Als dat echt een probleem was, geloof ik niet dat MB daar niet snel fix voor zou uitbrengen. De mijne is van 1990 en heeft ook gewoon het 'korte' matje (en een blinkende motorkap). Eéntje voor het rijk der fabelen, vermoed ik.

Op de lange duur denk ik dat het beter is om zo'n isolatiemat onder je motorkap te hebben.
Naarmate de lak ouder wordt lijkt mij deze wel gevoeliger worden voor weersinvloeden en temperatuurwisselingen.

mat voor de 2.3-16v kost ook 66 ex btw... omdat deze net weer anders is dan de diesel en de 2.6 mat....

Heb zelf een plaat bij gehaald die voldoende was voor motorkap, schutbord en baktunnel.

Dinsdag zal ik zo'n mat als Bas bestellen, want ik zie wel dat de verf op de motorkap, zo ongeveer in het midden, licht gebarsten lijkt. Niet zo vreemd voor een 84'er. Zeker nu ik wil gaan kleien en waxen ( de spullen heb ik al, nog even wat motivatie sparen... ), en dan wil ik er in 1 x vanaf zijn.

Eerst moest ik wachten op de zon, nu op een beetje schaduw, om de klus te klaren.

Voor 40 E wil ik die mat wel hebben, baat het niet, dan schaadt het niet, en het staat ook wat verzorgder.

Maakt echt een verschil de isolatie mat...
Beste is gewoon de diesel versie te plaatsen.. maar origineel op een 190 of 190E is de kleine van 16 euro....

Heb de dieselversie gekocht, met het artikelnr zoals Bas vermeld heeft.
De kleine die ik nu erin heb, trek ik er wel uit, en daarna goed ontvetten, met Dasty bijvoorbeeld, of anders met ammoniak.
Zaterdag plakken we hem er dan op, bij mijn garage. Hij heeft ook 3M spuitlijm.

Ik wilde de motorkap vandaag ontvetten, maar als ik zo naar buiten kijk, lijkt me dat niet zo'n best plan.
Tenzij met regenjas en muts

Zo komt er van dat kleien en waxen natuurlijk nooit wat van ! Ik loop al een maand tegen mijn 100-Euro Meguiars-spullen aan te kijken !

Het is toch Juni, dacht ik ?

OK, wachten is maar beter.
Ik moet kleien, waxen, en in de toekomst wassen met Ultimate Wash en Wax, een gradatie hoger als de jouwe, die ongetwijfeld ook goed ( ruim voldoende ) is.

Maar voor die klus moet het droog zijn, geen felle zon, maar wel een lekker werktemperatuur zijn.En moet ik een vrije dag hebben ,liefst weekends. Vind dat maar eens in NL, voorlopig spettert het weer, of wordt het benauwd......

Achterin de middag scheen hier even de zon, dus meteen de binnenkant van de motorkap ontvet, en de "oude" isolatiemat eruit gehaald, zat er nog maar een jaar in, trouwens.
Dasty gebruikt, met handschoenen aan, wat een heftig spul, zeg.

Maar de binnenkant van de kap glimt nu bijna net zoals de buitenkant !

Iedereen in de flat denkt nu dat ik knettergek ben : de binnenkant van je motorkap poetsen !
En daar nog foto's van nemen, ook

Afijn, zaterdag kunnen we de dieselversie erin gaan plakken !

Waarom heb je de kleine isolatiemat er een jaar geleden in gezet? Wist je toen niet dat er ook een grote versie te krijgen was? .

Jawel, maar ik wilde hem 100 % origineel, vandaar.

Verder dacht ik dat het alleen voor geluid was, en ik verbaasde me er al over dat de kleine alleen de accubak en zekeringenkast afdekte, alsof die zo'n herrie maken
Nu weet ik inmiddels dat het vnl meer voor de warmte is, maar dat maakt mijn verbazing niet kleiner : bij mijn weten worden de accu en de zekeringenkast niet heet

Afijn, een échte verbetering die niet 100% origineel is, moet ik dan ook maar als origineel zien, of als gemiste detail van de bouwers.
Principes zijn er om van af te wijken.....

Dit is wel geoorloofd. Misschien niet origineel op JOUW W201 geleverd, maar wel origineel op DE W201 geleverd.

Ik ben het met Bassje eens, een goede modificatie uitgevoerd met originele onderdelen .

Dat is nou een mooi politiek antwoord Bas, waar ik wél blij mee ben !
