eerder deze week is mijn kabel gekapt bij het openen van de motorkap.
in eerste instantie dacht ik dat het aan de handle lag, die links onder het dashboard zit.
maar naar verder onderzoek was dit allemaal intact.
waarschijnlijk is de kabel nu geknapt onder de motorkap, maar om daar te komen moet deze open.
is er iemand die zoiets vaker meegemaaakt heeft, of hier een oplossing voor heeft.

ps: het gaat om een 190E 2.3 16v uit 1987.

Hé,
Net een paar minuten geleden gebreurde mij het zelfde met mn 190D,
ook gebroken onder de kap, het clipje kun je pakken met een tang maar daarmee krijg ik em ook niet los. Van onder kan ik er ook niet bij omdat er allemaal kappen om de radiateur zitten.... Hoe moeten wij dit oplossen

Ik denk dat je via de onderkant erbij moet proberen te komen.

auto opkrikken ( of op de brug ) motorbeschermplaat verwijderen en dan de kabel proberen te pakken of rechtstreeks bij de vanger

Hallo,

Ik heb de oplossing gevonden :cheer: , pak het handvat van een emmer, haak deze even los, buig de stang recht en je kunt zo met een van beide haaken de lip naar links trekken ;)

Ik las ergens dat een fietsspaak of een tentharing ook gebruikt kunnen worden (scheelt je een emmer :lol:)
Ik weet niet precies hoe, maar als je het gevonden hebt, laat het dan even weten.... de mijne staat momenteel (nog) in Spanje, en het lippie is afgebroken (denk niet de hele kabel).

Als de kabel gebroken is werkt die truc niet en dien je van onder uit te werk te gaan. Want er zit een afdekplaatje over het geen waar de kabel doorgeen gaat en daar aan de haak vast zit.

Ik had hetzelfde probleem maar ik had gelukkig mijn grill eraf liggen voordat het te laat was...

Open!.
Als je door de gril loert zie je een zwart kuntstof kapje, dat moet de er af zien te prutsen (naar beneden drukken). Ik heb een lange schroefendraaier gebruikt. Als het er af is zie je het mechanisme zie foto. Vervolgens het armpje in de richting van de pijl zien te drukken en hopla dan springt i open.
Zoals op de foto zichtbaar is, was bij mij de kabel los van het armpje. Hoe dit te repareren weet ik nog niet. Voorlopig rij ik met een grote schroevendraaier rond ;)

Zo bedoelde ik het ook!
Een nieuwe kabel compleet van Febi kost je 22,50 incl verzendkosten vanuit duitsland. Bij Mercedes kost deze iets van 27 euro en dan vermoed ik ex btw.

Nieuwe kabel kan je makkelijk vervangen, gewoon aan de oude kabel vastmaken en dan hard terugtrekken richting je interieur ik denk 10 minuten werk.

Even dit draadje gebruikt, bedankt!

Het was vloeken, zat flink te stoeien met dat afdak kapje. Per ongeluk stoot ik tegen het plastic uiteinde dat toen recht omhoog stond, en zo blokkeert het hele mechanisme. Dat allemaal kijkend door je gril, in het donker, met schroevendraaier en zaklamp. Handen tekort ;)

Nu is die ijzeren kabel afgebroken.. als je een nieuwe besteld is dit dan inclusief het zwarte omhulsel?
En dan de methode van Bobracing. De Benz wordt weer als nieuw ;)

Ik krijg mijn motorkap niet open en kwam dit draadje tegen.
Mij lukt het echter niet om deze zwarte kap eraf te krijgen.

Heeft iemand nog tips?

Die zwarte kap krijg je alleen eraf met de grill (grijze) rooster te beschadigen en dan gaat het nog lastig.

Je zult waarschijnlijk net zo uitkomen als ik een paar maanden terug.

Dan pas kun je de zwarte kunstof borging van de zwarte anti braak kastje (zwart) eraf wippen.
Dan kun je van onderaf met een scherp voorwerp die weg halen en dan met een schroevendraaier dat kastje kapot slaan. Dan pas kom je eraan. Soms als je geluk hebt kun je dit doen via de onderkant langs je radiator. Helaas ging dat bij mij niet.

Mocht je het zo doen en je gaat een nieuwe kabel kopen, dan moet je ook een nieuwe hendel erbij nemen anders kom je thuis en dan blijkt dat je niet alles compleet hebt.

Oke wat ik begrijp uit dit topic is het sommigen gelukt zonder de gril te beschadigen.
Maar kan het zijn dat zij een niet iets ander mechanisme hebben waardoor dat zwarte kapje er makkelijker af te halen is?

Bij mij bleef de grill onbeschadigd, en had dat plastic afdek kapje met een fijn keukenmes door kunnen snijden.
Tent haringen hadden me ook geholpen :-)

Je bedoelt dus met een lang scherp voorwerp via de gril dat zwart kapje kapot maken?

zou je er misschien beter bij kunnen komen als je de bumper weghaald?
ik zat zelf te denken dat je dan bij de boutjes kon komen die het grille aan de motorkap bevestigd
