Beste mensen,
Afgelopen Zaterdag was het weer eens zo ver. Stond bij het tankstation en wilde de banden even op spanning brengen.
Tegenwoordig kost dat hier ook geld.... Enfin, de ventieldopjes bij de 190 met de standaard wieldoppen liggen ongeveer vlak met de buitenkant van de wielkap. Dus de wielkap moet er af om de pomp aansluiting erop te zetten. Dit neemt tijd en moeite en geeft een paar smerige handen. Vooral het er weer om zetten (slaan..!) kost tijd en gaat lastig, dus moest ik opnieuw munten offeren voordat ik aan de achterwielen begon. Al met al een beroerde gang van zaken. Zou prettig zijn als de ventielen net 1 - 2 cm langer zouden zijn. Ik weet dat er verlengers zijn maar of die nou net weer véél te lang zijn weet ik niet. Is er onder U allen iemand die dit probleem herkent en er een elegante oplossing voor weet?

Het is denk ik nodig om bij het laten plaatsen van nieuwe banden ook langere ventielen te vragen dan gebruikelijk.
Ik heb het probleem ook na het laten plaatsen van nieuwe banden.

Nu heb ik een verlengstuk in de auto liggen, dat draai ik er even op en breng de band op druk, dat 4 x
Zo vaak hoeft het nou ook weer niet, maar het is vooral een onnodig probleem.

Andere oplossing is die verlengstukken laten zitten, x4 maar die zijn wel erg lang.

Als je even niet oplet bij de aanschaf van banden heb je dit probleem. De bandenboer denkt blijkbaar nergens na.

Ik herken het probleem ook, bij mij past het net.
Maar met vroegere SLC met kroonkurken, had ik er een soort "bochtje" bij wat je erop kon schroeven, waardoor het wat makkelijker ging.
Er zijn dus wel verlengstukjes ( staal ) die je er op schroeft, dan gaat het al flink beter.

Tip : eerst alle 4 wieldoppen eraf, dan met het apparaat aan de gang, dan haal je het wel in 1 keer.
Wel met smerige handen, dat is nog het ergste.

Jawel Ferry, maar die plastic handschoenen scheuren snel, en tuinhandschoenen zijn weer zo dik.
En aan die wielkappen trekken is ook niet prettig met mijn bierbuik :sick:

Alleen mag het mondstukje, dat "door" de wielkap heen gaat, natuurlijk niet te dik zijn !

Ik gebruik hem slechts bij op spanning brengen van de banden. Daarna gaat ie weer het dashboard kastje in.

Je kan ook langs de bandenboer of autobedrijf rijden of ze er langere ventielen in willen zetten.
Daarvoor hoeft inpricipe niet de band eraf en opnieuw gebalanceerd te worden.

Ja, dat setje had ik ook gezien. 'tZiet er naar uit dat daar geen stofkapjes op kunnen. Hoopte het rechtse exemplaar van
Bram z'n foto te kunnen vinden (lekker kort!) maar dat is nog niet gelukt. Dat lijken nou nét de dingen die je hebben moet!

Dank je Hans! Zeker de beste oplossing. Ga vragen wat ze er voor rekenen. De ventielen worden van binnen naar buiten in de velg getrokken, dus de banden moeten wel los van de velg zodat het ventiel gewisseld kan worden. Lijkt me een vrij snel te doen karweitje.

Ben er net achter gekomen dat "ventielverlenging" een uiterst wijdverbreid fenomeen is zodat mij er, toen ik op de Duitse Ebay keek.., een enorme massa aan varianten werd aangeboden. Ook uit China. Toch wellicht aardig om even naar te kijken.
