Zo'n W140 S 600 Lang Guard B7 ziet er weer dikker uit dan de W220 die ik heb geplaast.
Hier in zie je dat de pantser materialen door Dynema en Keflar steeds verder ontwikkeld worden. De ramen zijn nog steeds de grote boosdoener voor het totaal gewicht.

Zo ook de banden zijn weer heel anders dan die van de W220, ook weer verder ontwikkeld zodat, je het verschil steeds minder gaat zien.

Hoe ouder het model hoe meer je dat voelt vooral de W126 420SE waar ik mee heb gereden helde erg over. Zo'n wagen word zeg maar topzwaar omdat het gewicht boven zit!

Ook had je in de W126 ramen die een heel raar beeld gaven als je er door heen keek. Dat komt omdat er meerdere lagen glas op elkaar werden geplakt! Soms wat best vervelend autorijden.

Ja, die auto's moeten ook met hun tijd mee. Zo moeten ze er steeds onopvallender uitzien en moeten ze een zo 'normaal' mogelijk weggedrag hebben.

Een W140 is en blijft een prachtige auto, zeker as je hem in een Guard uitvoering kan betalen!

Zoiets bijvoorbeeld: Al lijkt ie mij niet helemaal volledig Guard..

Dat is absoluut geen originele Guard, dat is direct al te zien aan het gewicht.
Een echte Guard is ook niet voor zo'n prijs te koop.
