De optiecodes van Mercedes (SA codes) worden soms hergebruikt bij grote modelwijzigingen, nieuwe technieken etc.
Vanaf 1972 staat optiecode 870/871 voor links en rechts stoelverwarming in ieder geval. Dit is later veranderd naar Telefax anlage. kan echter niet vinden vanaf wanneer.
Heb nog wel wat oude foto's gevonden op mijn oude harde schijf. Ik heb in mijn W201 een werkende D-netz telefoon en daar kwam ik ze tussen tegen. Als volgt:

Dit is echt een telefoon, maar werd vooral ingebouwd in de W126 serie, dus de S klasse en het absolute topmodel. Op die auto was het al een zeldzaamheid. Deze werkt ook 'gewoon' met een D net aansluiting, wat zoveel wil zeggen als een nieuwe SIM kaart kopen bij Vodafone (enige met werkend D netwerk!) en die niet uit de houder klikken. Het gehele pasje zit dan in de ontvanger welke is gemonteerd rechtsachterin de kofferbak.
en dan had je nog de roadfax. Phoe, mocht je daar ook nog maar een stekkertje of kabeltje origineel van in je auto terugvinden dan ben je al spekkoper. Maar wel superdik om te zien toch:

Bij dit ding komt nogal wat meer kijken, een C net aansluiting op dezelfde plek, maar ook een 24V accumulator (!), omvormer naar 12V, en een stapel kabels met natuurlijk een passende middenconsole. Hiermee kon je dus een fax versturen vanuit je auto.. indertijd een bizar iets natuurlijk en ook vrijwel niet meer te vinden vandaag.

Bosch, Philips, technifax en Nissei zelf maakte fax apparaten welk compatibel hiermee waren. Echter zie ik voornamelijk in mijn archief AEG naar voren komen, maar onderliggend is vrijwel alles van Nissei.

Leuk spul wel! Heb je foto's van je auto? Van de armsteun/middenconsole en eventueel de kofferbak achter de plastic afwerking? Dan kunnen we met z'n alle eens spieken of er daadwerkelijk sporen van zo'n installatie zijn! Zou superdik zijn man.
