Rotte plekken aanpakken

Alles omtrent de carrosserie en de buitenkant, zoals bijv. spuiten, roest, plaatwerk, lassen maar ook spiegels, rubbers en chroom, ruitenwissers etc.

Aangezien de Benz nu in de garage staat ben ik nu rustig bezig om wat rotte plekken aan te gaan pakken. Nu heb ik in myn dorpel een gat van een doorsnede van 15cm zitten(niet op de foto maar achter de krikrubber). Tevens zoals je ziet ben ik begonnen om het roest bloot te leggen en de rotte plekken weg te halen. Waar kan ik goede kwaliteit delen krijgen om deze delen in te lassen? Ik dacht dat het namelijk mee viel maar is helaas wat meer rottigheid dan ik dacht. Dus heb je tips en tricks en een site waar ik delen kan krijgen hoor ik het graag. Kan het zelf lassen dus dat is geen probleem. Betreft dorpel links en wielkast linksachter.

Makkelijker en goedkoper is het om de delen zelf te zetten en kloppen. Immitatie plaatwerk (en origineel ook vaak) zul je ook moeten aanpassen om erin te krijgen. Mocht je dit niet willen zou ik proberen het uit een wagen op de sloop te snijden.

Puntsgewijs lassen, met +/- een millimeter ruimte tussen de aan elkaar te lassen delen aanhouden geeft vaak het mooiste resultaat. De punten niet ineens achter elkaar zetten, maar zoveel mogelijk verspreiden en geregeld te pauzeren om zo min mogelijk warmte in de plaat te laten trekken. Ook niet te kort willen punten, ik heb al vaker gezien dat de las aan de achterzijde niet mooi doorgevloeid was, maar meer op de plaat lag met gevolg dat het materiaal na afslijpen dus flinterdun was.

Toen ik rotte plekken had ben ik 2 voorspatborden op de sloop gaan halen. Hoeven niet netjes te zijn.
Voordeel is dat je even dik plaatwerk hebt en als je wat grotere stukken erin moet lassen zit er aan de binnenzijde al roest bescherming daar je alleen de randen kaal maakt. Je moet het uiteraard dan wel zelf in de goede vorm buigen/zetten/kloppen.

Inmiddels ben ik wat stappen verder gegaan. Ik kon aldoor net geen einde van het roest vinden. Maar dit is natuurlyk wel nodig wil je dat het roesten beperkt word. Dus is nu bijna al het rotte weg, kwam erachter dat de koker zelf ook een deel weggerot is. @rojo124, heb inmiddels een dorpel en wielkuil besteld voor het inlassen. Dankjewel :)
