Heey medebenzers, ik heb mijn kleppendeksel eraf gehaalt om mijn pakking te vervangen omdat hij wat begon te lekken. Nu heb ik ontdekt dat er raar spul op de deksel zit. Wat is nou wat. Het zwarte afgebladderde spul heb ik eraf gehaald. Het zag er niet meer uit. Is dat nou de verf of is dat een beschermlaag. Eronder zit een soort vettige laag geen idee wat dat is. Kan iemand mij vertellen wat dat is en of dat ook eraf moet. De binnenkant ziet er trouwens ook vreemd uit met een soort zwart spul alvast bedankt.

Veel onduidelijker kun je bijna niet zijn, maak er anders eens een paar scherpe foto's van misschien dat het dan wat duidelijker is wat je bedoelt.

Ik ga er maar even vanuit dat alle klepdeksels van aluminium zijn.
Er wordt heel wat afgeknoeid aan klepdeksels heb ik gemerkt, overgespoten met rommel en blanke lak je verzint het niet.

Bij mij hadden ze ook de binnenkant in één of ander rommeltje gespoten of gekwast, net als bij jou waarschijnlijk.

Dus ik heb een pot afbijt gekocht en alles eraf gebeten. Is echt heel veel werk omdat de verf zo ingebrand is door de warmte. je moet het dus zowel van binnen als van buiten goed dik in de afbijt zetten. Het wordt een ontzettende bagger bende, je moet het dus buiten doen. Het beste zet je de boel dik in de afbijt en doet de deksel in een vuilniszak voor 1 nacht. Dan met brillo o.i.d borstelen en nog eens in de afbijt. Dat ding in de klepdeksel heb ik eruit gehaald en later na het schoonmaken weer teruggeplaatst.

Kortom, als hij helemaal goed schoon is, goed ontvetten met wasbenzine en spuit je hem met een spuitbus weer netjes in de hitte bestendige lak, en klaar is klara.

De klepdeksel hoort aan de binnenkant brand en brand schoon te zijn. Is hij dat niet dan komt er troep of verfresten in je olie

Op de derde foto hieronder zie je hoe ze bij mij de binnenranden mee hadden gespoten, en die verf ging natuurlijk schilferen.

En om op je vraag terug te komen waarmee je deze topic start. Als je het kunt missen, en je kunt een goeie tweedehands kopen, die schoon is, dan kun je beter een andere kopen.

bovenstaande is super uitgevoerd . maar


wasbenzine is niet de meest ideale ontvetter wel beter dan terpentine
maar beter is een thinner soort te gebruiken als voorbereiding voor het spuiten van blank staal

Met terpentine ontvet je natuurlijk niet, maar dat wist de schilder al. Met wasbenzine gaat dat prima, is ook beter voor je huid en bloed. Zoals jij als schilder zult weten, komt thinner door je huid in je bloedbaan en je hebt natuurlijk ook van O.P.S gehoord wat ontstaat door oplosmiddelen zoals thinners.
Als leerbedrijf heb ik dit nooit aangeraden voor dit soort kleine projectjes.

Maar je hebt gelijk, er is altijd een maar, dus ook bij thinner

Nou, als je iemand kent die kan zandstralen is dat het gemakkelijkt. Ik heb de mijne ook gestraald en dat is pico bello gegaan. En uiteraard is de olie vul opening ook glimmend zonder verf op de foto is dat nog niet gedaan.

Prachtig ik ben jaloers haha maar komt goed ziet er 10 keer beter uit he

die van mij begint ook te bladeren denk er ook over om het maar te gaan doen, het ziet er perfect uit dat eindresultaat.

Trouwens dat ding dat in de deksel zit met die 3 schroefjes moet je dat weer dicht maken? Wat er zat wat kit omheen volgens mij was het vloeibare pakking

Er hoort in ieder geval geen kit of vloeibare pakking aan/omheen.
