Vandaag de buitentemperatuurmeter van een nieuw display voorzien.
De displays zijn dertig jaar oud en vroeg of laat komt het donkere hoekje er in, dat loopt dan langzaam door en een paar jaar en je ziet niets meer.
Ik heb dit eerder meegemaakt en heb toen een "nieuwe"op marktplaats gescoord.
Maar deze heeft het ondertussen ook begeven, en eenmaal gewend aan die optie wil je hem niet meer missen.
Omdat ik ooit eens gelezen had over het plaatsen van een nieuw display, ben ik eens gaan zoeken op e bay en daar stond dus de advertentie van Marcel Deijkers.

Heb contact opgenomen via de mail en een display besteld.

Er zijn blijkbaar twee soorten dus eerst gekeken welke ik heb(ik heb niet meer de eerste er in en de vernieuwde is van een jonger bouwjaar afkomstig.

Besteld en na een week nog niets in huis, wel een mailtje van Marcel"is het gelukt?"
Nee dus er moet iets fout gegaan zijn bij de posterijen, maar Marcel heeft direct een andere opgestuurd, Hulde.
En die brief kwam dus wel aan.

De twee delen voorzichtig uit elkaar trekken.

Dan de losse delen er uit halen, goed opletten hoe alles gezeten heeft.
Je hebt eerst een glaasje (past maar op 1 manier)
Dan het display met aan de zijkanten een rubber stripje, daar tussen het witte plastiekje.
Het blauwe plaatje zit tussen display en het witte plastiekje (is bedoeld voor het lichteffect van de led verlichting in het donker)

De schade aan de display is duidelijk zichtbaar, begint meestal in het hoekje en een jaar later zie je niets meer.

Nieuwe display er in met het bobbeltje aan de bovenkant en alles weer samenbouwen.
Kind kan de was doen, dan doet papa de ATA.

Dan nog even in de auto inbouwen, veel mensen weten hoe het moet maar toch maar even een beschrijving van het klokkenspel uitbouwen.
Onderplaat boven de pedalen verwijderen.
en de geribbelde ventilatie slang weg halen.

Wartel van de tellerkabel losdraaien, moet een beetje op de tast, hij zit recht achter het midden van de teller.
Grote geribbelde messing moer, zit handvast, helemaal losdraaien.

Hierna kun je het klokkenspel er van achteruit uitdrukken(hij zit gewoon vastgeklemd)
druk hem tot tegen het stuur(dat gewoon kan blijven zitten) en verwijder dan alle stekkers en de klipjes met de glasveselkabeltjes.
Eerst ff proberen of alles werkt. dan inbouwen.

Hierna kan de bak tussen dashboard en stuur weggenomen worden.
De ronde stekker kan niet door het gat dat in de tellerbak zit en die kun je dus even open klikken (vind ik altijd mooi van die grote Mercedes stekkers, ze kunnen gewoon open gemaakt worden

De ronde stekker gaat naar de hallsensor (als hij aanwezig is) Ik heb hem maar gebruik hem nog niet.
Hallsensor is nodig voor bijvoorbeeld tempomaat of snelheids afhankelijk volume van de radio.

Tellerbak weer achter het stuur plaatsen en alle stekkers en lichtkabeltjes terug klikken, dan de bak op zijn plaats drukken.
Aan de achterkant de tellerkabel weer vast draaien, Losjes vastdraaien is voldoende het belangrijkste is dat hij er goed in zit en de kabel niet onder spanning staat(gaat je teller van bibberen)
