I only bought the grilles and cut out the door panels. I could not found any doorpanels with karo pattern and the one i found was too expensive. I conected the speaker boxes on my aftermarket amp. I dont have the original amp. The original speakers were not powerfull at al and one blew up. I put aftermarket speakers in it and use it as normal speakers. I put them on high pass filter 80hz on the amplifier and have a 10inch subwoofer in the boot for the lowest bass notes.

If you are looking for some extra bass, I really recommend the active pioneer Subwoofer: Pioneer TS-WX210A
It fits perfectly under de backseat, so once installed unvisible. (So you can still keep the Original look of the car.)
And the sound really suprised me when I installed the subwoofer. (was a bit sceptical about small subwoofer cases, because of de small air displacement.)
