Vandaag er helaas achtergekomen dat ik een beetje ben opgelicht om het zo maar te noemen... zat een heel stuk roest onder de achterdeur, moet nog maar even bedenken hoe ik die roest ga stoppen... iemand toevallig ideeën? Er zit echt al een gaatje in van de roest!:(

Als de basis van je auto maar goed is. Dat wil zeggen frames, voor en achter. Kijk naar de krikpunten, kijk onder andere naar het subframe achter en de veerkommen voor. Er zijn natuurlijk meer basis punten.

Roest in een beetje gevorderd stadium stop je niet, zeker niet als je al over gaten spreekt. Heb er vrede mee, doe er aan wat je kunt (schoonkrabben en in de tectyl of teer) of vervang de deur of andere hevig roestende onderdelen, als het losse delen zijn tenminste.

Als je het onder de deur(en) al over het hoofd hebt gezien, zou ik nog even
zoveel mogelijk verwijderen, blank metaal insmeren met fosforzuur en aantal uren laten inwerken, ontvetten en met zinkprimer behandelen. Goed laten drogen en al naar gelang in kleurlak danwel bodycoat zetten. Binnenwerk met waxoil / fertan / tectyl behandelen, naden met strijkkit.

Om even te laten zien waar het over gaat, een afbeelding toegevoegd in de bijlage !

Ik zal even kijken of ik het voor elkaar ga krijgen wat jij zegt prometheus.

Het gaat om roest in de balk onder het portier dus ik heb t gevoel dat het wel een essentieel onderdeel is wat veel stevigheid geeft aan de auto.

Dorpel deel is inderdaad slecht, waarschijnlijk als je een hamer pak zal de dorpel op meer plekken slecht zijn.
Eruit slijpen en een nieuw deel erin lassen in de beste optie.
Alle andere opties zijn uitstel.

Nieuwe dorpel er in.....doe dan direct ook de andere kant

Zag dit al eerder voorbij komen en dacht eerst maar niet te reageren .

Maar opgelicht ! Dat snap ik niet .

Auto is van 1986 30 jaar oud dan vind je bij 99 van de 100 echt wel roest hoor .

Misschien is een oldtimer / youngtimer dan niet de beste keus voor je .
Als je dorpel zo is ga je echt nog wel meer tegenkomen de komende jaren
