Bij het wassen van de auto, zie ik steeds vaker dat de rubbers van mijn achterlichten aan het verpulveren zijn.
Ik wil graag een natte kofferbak/lekkage voorkomen.

Is het 1 rubber die ik moet vervangen ? Makkelijk zelf te doen ?

Iemand een idee hoeveel die rubbers kosten per stuk ?

Hetzelfde heb ik bij de ventilatieroosters : hoe haal je die eruit ? Kun je deze rubbers ook eenvoudig vervangen, of is dat niet zo nodig ? Er lekt ( nog ) niets, maar ik vind het een rot-gezicht, na het wassen, temeer ik een witte auto heb.

De rubbers bij de achterlichten zijn makkelijk zelf te vervangen. Het is 1 rubber per achterlicht. Als het rubber nieuw is, kan het even stoeien zijn om hem in zijn positie te leggen en te plaatsen. Zelf heb ik hem eerst met een paar druppels lijm aan de achterlicht unit gelijmd.
Als ik me niet vergis kosten de achterlichtrubbers ongeveer 20 euro per stuk bij de dealer.
Via de binnenkant van de kofferbak kun je alles losmaken.

Hier ben ik ook erg blij mee, en wellicht ook anderen !

Maar eens kijken hoe het er bij mij uitziet. Misschien is de manchet aan vervanging toe, misschien alleen schoonmaken en nieuwe kit. Gelukkig nog geen lekkage, maar voorkomen is beter dan genezen. De Benz moet nog even mee, als het kan.

Ik heb net de dealer gebeld, hij zegt dat er alleen een rubber zit tussen het glas en de behuizing. Is dat het rubber dat ik moet hebben ?

De hele achterunit "hangt" niet in rubbers tegen de carosserie aan, begrijp ik. Dat had ik wel in gedachten. Ben nu op mijn werk, kan e.e.a. niet checken.

Bij de 2.5 diesel waarbij ik de hele unit vervangen heb, zat wel degelijk een rubber tussen de unit en de auto!
Hij 'hangt' inderdaad als unit in een rubber tegen de auto aan. En zit met wat moeren vast.
Dus je moet het afdichtings-rubber tussen de lampunit en de auto hebben.

]Er is maar één rubber per achterlicht. Deze zit aan het exterieur deel van het achterlicht.
Op onderstaande foto zie je waar deze 'ingedrukt' wordt. (Op de foto is het rubber verwijderd).
Bij het plaaten druk je (door het aandraaien van het binnendeel met de moeren) de unit met het rubber tegen je chassis.

Binnenkap loshalen. De 2 kunststof clips induwen en de lamphouder eruit halen. 8 moertjes losdraaien en de lichtunit naar buiten eruit drukken. Rubber vervangen (even insmeren met glycerine) en alles weer monteren.
C-stijl rubber gaat vrijwel niet kapot. De kit droogt wel uit. Dus kitresten verwijderen en ff opnieuw afkitten.

Onderdelen zijn besteld, dank aan allen ! Ben er reuze blij mee, zo is de auto straks weer winterklaar. Winterbanden zijn gedaan, oude wintermatten erin gelegd, nu dus nog wat kitwerk voor m'n garage.

Laat de winter maar komen !
