Ik vermoed dat hij met vieze handen in de auto heeft gereden waardoor het rubber is aangetast..
Grrrr. Heb het al beetje proberen schoon te maken met warm water en groene zeep maar het probleem blijft enigzins.
Is die knop nog te bestellen en.kan je hem er zo afdraaien?
Het lijkt of de knop een soort dekseltje heeft of lijkt dat maar zo? Alleen het dekseltje is ook goed.
Volgende keer dan maar een zakje er overheen...

Kunststof wil wel weekmakers gaan afscheiden die ook zeer plakkerig kunnen zijn, maar dat zal vast niet het geval zijn.
Misschien heeft hij de pook "gedesinfecteerd" wat blijkbaar normaal is tegenwoordig. Hebben ze bij m'n lease auto ook gedaan i.i.g.

Probeer anders pure dreft o.i.d. en afnemen met een doekje.

Is dat een lederen pook of een standaard? De standaard uitvoering voor de vijfbak is nog nieuw leverbaar.

Ik heb een W202 gehad, die het ook had, toen ik hem kocht. Kon toen een nieuwe pookhoes etc. bestellen. Het stuur had het ook. De dealer zei dat kwam door de zuren in je hand, en dat veel mensen de gewoonte hebben om de pook vast te houden tijdens het rijden, of hun hand er op te leggen. Herken ik ook wel van mezelf, maar heb het me afgeleerd.

Stuur gereinigd met warm water en sop, dat ging goed.

Bedankt voor jullie tips. Ik was echt in de veronderstelling dat het een soort rubber was. Het gekke is dat het rechter gedeelte bovenop plakte en links nauwelijks.
Heb met ruitenreiniger nu schoon gemaakt en daarna behandeld met een leer (schoen) crème en dat lijkt de oplossing. Bedankt!!
