Hi allemaal!

Mijn naam is Olivier, woonachtig in Maarssen-dorp en sinds vorige week eigenaar van een prachtige W201!
Na de verbouwing van het huis afgerond te hebben was het tijd om een van mijn dromen waar te maken: Een oudere Mercedes (W201/W124/W126) op te knappen en daarbij vooral heel veel plezier te hebben van de magie die deze modellen met zich mee brengen.

Het gaat om een W201 2.0E uit 1992 in Nautical Blue (929) die zowel van binnen als buiten zo goed als origineel is. (En gaat blijven!) Na de eerste rit was ik verliefd op haar, vandaar dat ze de projectnaam "Doutzen Cruiser" heeft gekregen. Ze heeft wel wat liefde nodig en ik ga met mijn minimale kennis mijn best doen om haar werkplaats waardig op te knappen.

Op dit moment heb ik een aantal problemen geconstateerd:
- Onregelmatig stationair
- Terugval in toeren wanneer naar achteruit/drive geschakeld word
- Wiel links voor ligt te laat in kast en staat te ver naar voren
- Achterruitverwarming defect (schakelaar staat op de lijst van verdachten)
- Verlichting automaat schakeling defect
- Bonk achterin op drempels
- Gaspedaal heeft wat "ruimte" voordat er daadwerkelijk iets gebeurd

Een lange lijst; maar er staat inmiddels ook al bijna 350000 op de teller

Morgen begin ik met het proberen op te lossen van het eerste probleem: Onregelmatig stationair. Daarvoor ga ik een how-to van dit forum gebruiken: hoe de stappen motor te reinigen, daarnaast ga ik de bougies vervangen en gasklephuis schoonmaken. Ik ben benieuwd of het het probleem oplost!

Onregelmatige loop kan veroorzaakt worden door defecte temperatuursensor.
Is hier al vaker besproken, is de sensor die naar de pjoeter gaat.

Toen ik mijn auto net had hielp het enorm om de stappenmotor schoon te maken, maar de motor liep pas echt goed stationair toen ik de rubberslangen allemaal vervangen had, die sluiten naar mate zeer ouder worden steeds minder goed af, en zuigen daarmee steeds een beetje meer valse lucht aan. Kosten voor de slangen bij de dealer waren (toen) niet zo hoog, uit mijn hooft 60e voor alle slangen.

Waar ik de tijd had om te sleutelen aan de auto (en het droog was ) heb ik er onder gelegen, er overheen gehangen.. Maar vooral veel erin gereden; wat een genot! En op verzoek, wat foto's!

Inmiddels heb ik de stappenmotor en gasklep schoon gemaakt en ook de bougies vervangen, helaas maakte dit geen verschil en het leek zelfs alsof het nadien verergert was. De distributiekap en rotor leken beide zo goed als nieuw en heb ik niet vervangen. Na een aantal dagen zonder tijd heb ik de motor olie en filter vervangen, hierna was de stationair al een stuk beter!

Voordat ik de tip van g00fy kan toepassen moet eerst alles rond de motor schoongemaakt worden, alles is vet en vies.. En ik denk dat de vorige eigenaar er een LPG installatie in heeft gehad, gezien een aantal niet thuis te brengen componenten.

Van het weekend staat het verversen van de bakolie in de planning en het vervangen van de brandstof filter. Iets met een goede basis
