Overigens, inhakend hierop... een hevig piepende kachelventilator, moet die vernieuwd worden of kan je daar nog wat aan doen?

Oorzaak is meestal: geoxideerde zekeringhouder, later een gesmolten zekeringhouder.
Deze zorgt dan voor extra weerstand waardoor de stroom ook toeneemt.

De kachelmotor neemt vrij veel stroom weg (20-25A), dus ff met en multimeter de stroom meten gaat niet op.
Deze gaan meestal maar tot 10A.
Een simpele manier om te weten of de motor zelf echt teveel stroom op neemt is met een amperetang te meten (lastig bij te komen) of een steekzekering met de juiste waarde parallel over de huidige zekering te zetten en de huidige zekering verwijderen.
Als deze steekzekering dan heel blijft, dan is de kachelmotor goed en de originele zekeringhouder de boosdoener.
Een zwevende steekzekeringhouder die voorzien is van schroefoogjes kun je makkelijk onder de zekeringhouder vastzetten.

Wellicht heb je hier iets aan?

De kachelmotor kan je eruit halen door de ruitenwissermotor te verwijderen, en ook een stukje van het hitteschild moet los. Zo kan je er goed bij. (ik heb alleen geen airco, dus ik weet niet of dit de klus veel lastiger maakt)

O ja betreft hier een airco uitvoering dubbele blower zag deze ook terug in grotere en oudere Mercedes types is deze hetzelfde?
