De motor zelf zal wel passen, maar de 5 traps automaat is iets breder dus zul je de tunnel moeten aanpassen. En natuurlijk je aandrijfassen etc.

Een makkelijkere route is een om605 of om606 uit een W202 of W210, die hebben ook een elektronische brandstofpomp, maar bij deze motoren kan je de auto pomp van een om602/om603 overzetten (kan niet bij een E290 die heeft een rotary pomp) Als automaat zou ik gewoon bij een 4 traps automaat blijven. Echter is er een stuurkastje te krijgen om de 5 traps automaat aan te sturen.

Wat jij voor elkaar wil krijgen vraagt heel veel technische kennis.
Er zullen hier vast wel mensen zijn die bijvoorbeeld een 2.0 eruit kunnen halen en een 2.3 erin kunnen lepelen. Maar een motor van een hele andere generatie/model in een W201 lepelen vraagt wel wat meer technische kennis.

Daarom het volgende: van mijn type 190 is de turbodiesel stukgelopen. Nu is mijn idee om een nieuw type diesel motor in te bouwen met iets meer pk's en een fijn schakelende automaatbak. Ik ben al wezen rijden/kijken naar een E290 van bj 1997. Goed vermogen, schakeld zeer fijn. Maar ik twijfel of deze 5 cilinder met de automaat-5-bak in mijn type 190 past, of welke problemen ik wel tegen kan komen met bv. aandrijfas / snelheidsmeter / electrisch / schakelpook /????????????????????
Iemand die hier iets over kan inbrengen dan hoor ik het graag.
