Laat ik me als nieuw lid voorstellen. Ik ben Willem, ben 61 jaar uit Amsterdam en sinds 1 december in het bezit van een 190 2L carburator model waarvan het kenteken in januari 1990 is afgegeven. Met slechts 104000 km op de teller na 23 jaar.
Sindsdien heb ik er 8000 meer mee gereden, waaronder 5000 tijdens 4 weken in Engeland. Problemen? Ja, een achterlichtje stuk en een litertje olie erbij. Gemiddeld benzine gebruik is 1 op 13 geweest. Dat is beter dan die moderne BMW 116i die ik hiervoor had ;). Betrouwbaar, dus.
Ik heb dit model gezien in een aflevering van Wheeler Dealers op Discovery en vond het een mooie auto.

Ik wist weinig van dit model en heb in de loop der tijd wel het e.e.a. geleerd, bij gebrek aan een gebruikershandleiding was het wel even experimenteren. Ik heb wel een mooi lijstje met 'to do' items gemaakt voor de komende tijd. Ik ben geen sleutelaar op auto's (wel motoren, en wel Harleys - lang geleden), dus ik moet dat uitbesteden, helaas. Ik heb in Engeland wel het Haynes Service and Repair Manual gekocht - bij de bron: het Haynes museum in Sparkford. Ze hebben er zelfs een Daf 44!

Ik ga nu verder kijken op het forum waar ik m'n to do lijstje kwijt kan...
