Graag stel ik mijzelf en vooral mijn auto aan jullie voor.

Ik ben sinds drie weken de eigenaar van een MB190 benzine uit 1985 (de auto staat nog steeds op http://www.gijsjansenauto.com/2014/merc ... e-2-0-1985). Het is een vrij standaard uitvoering met de opties: een (niet werkende) electrische antenne, metallic lak en hoofdsteunen achter. Ik heb de auto als hobby-auto aangeschaft. Ik ben van kindsaf aan (ben inmiddels 45) behoorlijk gek van auto's en vond het tijd worden om voor een acceptabel bedrag een auto te kopen die:
- iconisch is;
- redelijk modern;
- geen opknapper;
- valt in de overgangsregeling.
Ik ben (nog) geen Mercedes-adapt, maar ik weet nog goed hoe Mercedes met de modellen W201 én W124, begin jaren 80 een nieuwe maatstaf zette qua ontwerp, veiligheid en kwaliteit.

Na een zoektocht van enkele maanden heb ik ongezien en binnen één dag mijn huidige auto aangeschaft. Ik was al diverse malen teleurgesteld gaan kijken naar 190's en 200's. "In zeer goede staat' is blijkbaar een begrip dat door veel mensen op evenzoveel manieren wordt geïnterpreteerd. Dus toen deze auto te koop werd aangeboden was mijn eerste gedachte: Hoe zorg ik dat niemand anders de auto voor mijn neus wegkaapt?

Tot slot hoop ik (net als jullie) veel plezier te beleven aan de 190. Wellicht treffen we elkaar op 1 November in het mooie Udenhout.
