Dus hoe meer ethyleenglycol hoe slechter de warmte afgevoerd kan worden. Blijkbaar is de 46% de optimale mix.

Omdat die temperatuur snel bereikt wordt zit er druk in het koelsysteem. Hoe warmer de motor, hoe meer druk. De hogere druk zorgt ervoor dat de kookpunt van water wordt verhoogd. Daarom moet je de dop van de reservoir nooit met een warme motor opendraaien. Door de druk in het systeem spuit het eruit en kun je jezelf verwonden.
De ventilator is de redmiddel om bij 105 graden de temperatuur te verlagen.
