In de praktijk zal er dus bij afremmen op de motor regelmatig geen brandstof worden ingespoten waardoor je totale brandstofverbruik lager zal uitvallen(gemiddeld verbruik is dan beter).

Uit jouw verhaal begrijp ik dat het een soort beveiliging is, zodat de motor niet op hol slaat mocht de electronische aansturing in de fout gaan en het idle toerental boven de 1200 uitkomen. Maar brandstof afsluiten, is toch wat anders dan brandstof reductie.
